The regular season grind of the NCAA men’s basketball season is almost done and all that’s left are the conference tournaments to help decide on final seedings and bubble teams fighting for a shot at the big tournament.
What we do know after a full season are which teams will be favored to win the 2020 NCAA Tournament no matter where they are seeded after Selection Sunday.
If you are looking to make a bet on March Madness games and want to pick an early favorite it may be better to do it before Selection Sunday since the odds with change a bit after teams are officially ranked in the brackets. You can get current odds to win the NCAA Tournament and see where your favorite team is ranked right now.
Kansas Jayhawks – Most people that watch men’s college basketball will say that Kansas is almost a lock for a number one seed in the tournament and the favorite to win the National Championship. Their only real blemish during the year was a loss to Baylor. Almost a lock for a Final Four berth.
Gonzaga Bulldogs – The Zags score better than most of the other teams in the country and they defend well. A solid favorite to be a Final Four team and many have them as a favorite to win the National Championship.
Baylor Bears – Baylor should be the number one coming out of the south but they come with some warnings. A strong defense can only do so much if their offense struggles to find a rhythm early on. Watch how the seeds end up to see if Baylor has an easy ride to the Sweet 16 or a rough second round matchup.
San Diego State Aztecs – Top 10 defense in the country, a solid offense and playing really well heading into the conference tournaments. With the right matchups in the NCAA bracket…a trip to the Final Four is very possible.
Dayton Flyers – The Flyers can shoot the rock and they may be able to outscore some teams. Lead by potential lottery pick Obi Toppin. Dayton should be a top 2 seed and have an easier run to the Sweet 16.
Kentucky Wildcats – Started off the season a bit slowly but have become hot heading into the conference championships. They will be a top 3 seed depending on how they fare in the conference tourneys but could continue to ride the wave to a Final Four appearance.
