Having trouble filling out your March Madness bracket this year? I don’t blame you, 2018 has been a horrible year for top NCAA teams just in the regular season and the conference tournaments didn’t really help clear up the picture either. This whole NCAA basketball season we’ve seen seeded teams go down to teams they shouldn’t have or watched good teams look great because they’ve stuffed the stat sheet over bad teams. Perennial power house teams like Duke, Kentucky and UNC have all looked like potential first round casualties in some of the games that they’ve played already.
All this means is that picking an NCAA March Madness Bracket in 2018 will be tough! But when it comes to betting, the advantage you have is picking games day by day and not worrying about who the eventual winner will be.
We do have some suggestions for you and some NCAA Tournament Picks that you should consider betting on throughout the tournament below.

Odds To Win The 2018 NCAA March Madness Championship
Where teams get slotted in to brackets is one thing but where the money is going is another. Here is a glimpse of what the betting odds were going into the conference tournaments, click the graphic to see the Current NCAA Tournament Betting odds:
Who Could Win March Madness 2018?
Normally Duke or UNC would be on a list of favorites to win the NCAA Tournament but given what we’ve seen of them this year, I don’t like them to make it into the Final Four, let alone win the whole thing. Keep in mind, this is being written before Selection Sunday and where teams are slotted does make a difference. If you are looking at picking an outright winner then the picks below are the teams you may want to consider. If you are looking at betting individual games then the teams below are worth riding the first few rounds and then be cautious after that. If you are looking at betting games throughout the tournament, Duke and North Carolina are worth a look but be wary of high point spreads as they’ve played some close games and lost some games they’ve should have won.
NCAA March Madness Betting Favorites

Tom Izzo is no stranger to March Madness and now in 2018 he’s built a team that is Top 10 in both offense and defense. If they aren’t a number 1 seed by the start of the tournament, no worries I still see a Final Four in this year’s tournament.

Villanova’s offense is stellar led by Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges and sophomore Donte DiVincenzo. As a team they have a high shooting percentage and a low turnover percentage and still have a few players on the roster from their last title. Their defense is pretty horrible so basically the Wildcats need to outscore teams to win and hope that they don’t go cold on the offensive end or their tournament lives are at risk. As a side bet, look for them in betting the OVER if they are playing a team that can also score.

Kansas won a record 14th straight Big 12 title and should get a #1 seed in the tournament based in the quality of teams they’ve played and beat in some cases. They are an inconsistent team and peaked at the right time to get them a top seed but questions remain how far into March they run.

The Cavs defense is really good! Their offense, not so much. Can the defense carry them to a championship? They won the ACC title and beat teams like Duke, North Carolina and Clemson along the way. A great defense can win you championships but they better improve their scoring to win it all. Look for UNDERS to bet when they play another team with a bad-mediocre offense in the first couple of rounds.

I guess as long as they don’t have to face Villanova in the tournament the Musketeers have a good chance to win. Xavier had no issues with the rest of the conference but lost twice (badly) to the Wildcats. They’ll be ranked #1 or #2 in the NCAA Tournament so take advantage of some of their early round match-ups.

The Boilermakers have both a solid defense and a team that can score. Throw in a roster that has four seniors as their starters and guard Carsen Edwards, a sophomore who might be their most explosive scorer and they have experience on their side. There are no holes on this team and they could make a solid run to the end of March.
