Top Sleeper Picks for the PGA Championship

Tony Finau – 40 to 1
We loved him as a Sleeper for the Open and he was right near the top of the leaderboard before falling back a bit in the end. Bellerive should be an easier course to play through and will give Finau another great chance to win a major.

Zach Johnson – 75 to 1
Johnson was in the lead and then fell apart on the weekend. He plays pretty steady usually so look at him against weak matchups for head to head games if you don’t want to roll the dice on him winning but at 75-1…that’s a nice payoff!

Patrick Cantlay – 55 to 1
Cantlay quietly finished in 12th at the Open and has played really well all year. Not sure he’s ready to win a major yet but at some point in his career he will be. Oddsmakers have him at 55-1 higher than some top golfers in the world…do they know something we should know?

Kevin Kisner – 66 to 1
All Kisner had to do was shoot pars all day at Carnoustie on Sunday like Molinari did and he would have won his first major. Kisner started in the lead at -9 and just kept dropping. Could motivate him to win at Bellerive

Kevin Chappell – 66 to 1
Chappell has frustrated me all year. He played well going into the Masters and then missed the cut. The he played pretty badly until the Open Championship where a late double bogey on the 17th hole took him out of any chance of winning. Could he win this week? Yes…will he win, at 66-1 he pays off well to at least try it out.

Matt Kuchar – 50 to 1
Maybe one day Kuchar will finally win a major. He is better suited to win a US Open or an Open Championship because he’s more apt to grind out pars and play safe. Not sure if the PGA Championship will be set up so tough that Kuchar’s safe play will score him enough to win.

Alex Noren – 66 to 1
Noren was also in contention on the final Sunday at Carnoustie but fell towards the end. He’s ranked in the Top 15 in the world and at 66-1 odds he may be the best bet you can make to win the 2018 PGA Championship.
